The Wardrobe - Casual Blazers

There are two stories explaining the origins of the men’s blazer, the first states that they were originally worn in 1825 by the Lady Margaret boat club at Cambridge University. The alternate version states that in 1837 the commander of British frigate HMS Blazer ordered a new uniform for his men in anticipation of an inspection being carried out by the young Queen Victoria.

Whilst the true origins are uncertain, the fact that the blazer has become a timeless classic is unequivocal. Available in a variety of styles, fabrics and colours it is not hard to see why the blazer has become such a phenomenon.
