This year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed proved to be an unmissable event, due to its combination of cars, speed and entertainment. Set in the depths of the West Sussex countryside, the Goodwood estate was yet again transformed into a petrol heads heaven with some of the finest and rarest cars on show and racing up the famous Goodwood Hill.  This year’s theme paid tribute to 80 years of the Mercedes Silver Arrow and included displays from a collection of Silver Arrows raced over this illustrious period by the likes of Sir Stirling Moss and Lewis Hamilton.

The weekend also included British racing heroes like Jenson Button and John Surtees racing F1 cars from their respective eras up the Goodwood Hill. The event was also graced by a spectacular collection of past and current F1 cars and drivers displaying the awesome power of these iconic cars.

The 2014 Festival of Speed also included a large presence form current manufactures showing of their current and future models. In addition to this there was also fine array of cars from the likes of GT racing and Le Mans.

A highlight from this year’s show was the 20th annual Cartier Style De Luxe competition which displayed some of the finest and most exotic cars, presented in concours condition. To decide upon the winner of this year’s event, the judges panel included the likes of Sir Chris Hoy and Rowan Atkinson to critic each car to find a worthy winner.

After meticulous inspection of all the cars, the judges announced the incredible Maserati A6 CGS Berlinetta owned by Egon Zweimuller Jr as this years winner. With the Goodwood Revival next on the Calendar why not come along to this event to experience why Goodwood holds  the title of hosting the most acclaimed motoring events in the world.

Yours Sincerely
Mr British
